Protect24 will be showcasing the world’s first fully turnkey solution to fire protection for social housing at global property exhibition MIPIM.
MIPIM is the premier real estate in the world and sees influential players from all sectors of the international property industry.
Managing Director Mark Lyons is travelling to MIPIM to join more than 24,000 participants from 100 countries for the four day event.
MIMP will host networking events, conferences and dedicated exhibition zones and will provide the perfect opportunity to showcase the innovative fire protection solution created by Protect24.
Mark, said: “I’m looking forward to the event and having the opportunity to discuss the fire protection solution developed by the team at Protect24.
“MIMP is always a great effort and a fantastic opportunity to meet new contacts and exchange ideas and innovations.
“We are not exhibiting with Protect24 this year but I have a number of meetings planned to discuss our approach, our innovation and the concept behind Protect24.
“Our initial focus is on providing fire protection services to social housing associations and local authorities in the North West.
“But we believe our model has global appeal and this will provide a perfect opportunity to discuss our work so far.”
Protect24 was launched with the sole aim of providing local authorities and social housing associations with a turnkey solution to the retro installation of fire protection measures.
This pioneering approach provides a one-stop shop for clients and removes the logistic difficulties of working with multiple agencies and balancing the needs and requirements of existing residents.
Crucially, Protect24 will also provide the funding required to finance the retrofitting of those multi-storey properties requiring protection – with loans provided to local authorities and social housing associations at existing rates of borrowing.
City West Housing Trust in Greater Manchester were the first to adopt the Protect24 system –and work is currently underway to retrofit sprinkler systems to 12 multi-storey social housing residencies in Eccles – providing protection for 1,200 tenants.
“It really is an exciting concept,” explained Mr Lyons.
“Protect24 bring together all of the skills required to retrofit fire protection systems including sprinkler systems under one roof.
“What has been clear thus far, is that previous the idea of local authorities or housing associations retro fitting fire protection solutions is a logistical nightmare.
“It requires the management of multiple trades, the needs and concerns of residents and of those responsibility for the operating procedures of social housing.
“Protect24 do it all. We handle every aspect of the process from start to finish and that presents a unique opportunity for local authorities and housing associations.”
MIPIM was established in 1990 and brings together property players from the office, residential, retail, healthcare, sport, logistics and industrial sectors.
