Protect24’s retrospective fire protection program for ForViva has been featured by Inside Housing.
The £5 million investment program will ultimately see 17 high rise blocks in the North West benefit from bespoke retrospective fire protection packages.
This will include fire sprinklers retrofitted to hundreds of homes with more than 1,300 tenants set to benefit.
Protect24 have already completed work to five tower blocks in Salford’s Bartin Village, with seven blocks in Eccles and a further five in Knowsley to follow.
The works will be complete by March 2019 on the buildings, which range from 10 to 20-storeys.
ForViva Group were amongst the first landlords in the country to commit to fitting sprinklers in al of its high rise blocks, with Protect24 commissioned to carry out the work.

“The Board took the decision to invest in installing sprinklers to high rise blocks following consultation with tenants and fire experts, to enhance the robust safety measures we already have in place and offer tenants peace of mind.”
Protect24 provide a complete turnkey solution to bespoke retrospective fire protection for clients including Type 4 fire risk assessments, robust compartmentation, fire alarms, clear signage and fire awareness lessons for residents.
The retrofitting of fire sprinkler system to existing residents homes is carried out within five days with tenants walked through the process ahead of works, during and after.
Inside Housing featured the ForViva Group retrofit sprinkler program. The magazine has been campaigning for the government to make the retrofitting of sprinklers mandatory.
They launched the Never Again fire safety campaign to improve fire safety in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower disaster, a campaign immediately endorsed by the National Housing Federation, the Chartered Institute of Hosing, Placehsapers and the G15 group of London’s largest associations.
